List of books borrowed [manuscript] 1878-1907.

The list of books borrowed from the library includes title of book, borrower's name, class professor, date borrowed, date due, date returned and amount of fine. Borrowers include Woodrow Wilson, who signed as T. Woodrow Wilson in the 1879-1880 session. Volume I. also contains the signatures of Wilson's friends and future U. Va. professors R. H. Dabney and C. W. Kent, as well as future senator from Maryland William Cabell Bruce. At the end of the volume is a mailing list for University catalogs. Volume IV. also contains a list of books borrowed for students from the Congressional Library and a copy of J. M. Hanson Magazine Agency wholesale price list, 1901-1902. Volume V. also contains lists of books purchased on various funds, 1904- 1907, including Paul, Byrd, Curry, Tunstall, and new books as well as lists of supplies, books and periodicals purchased. Loose material in the volume includes a list of books purchased from John Wanamaker in 1907; the Librarian's list of fines collected, 1903-1908 (James W [sic] McConnell 1 day 1 volume $.10); periodicals subscribed, 1903; financial statements, 1904-1906; and miscellaneous notes, bills, and receipts.
